The Lake Forest Garden Club

Organized in 1970, we have more than 100 members who belong to our club. The mission of our Lake Forest Garden Club has been to create, stimulate and inspire an interest in gardening.  We accomplish this through our monthly meetings, informative guest speakers, plant and seed exchanges, workshops and field trips.

First & foremost, we are garden enthusiasts. Our club has many different backgrounds and talents.  Some are beginning gardeners; others have a much broader knowledge of gardening.  We share our knowledge and love of gardening with each other.

LFGC is a member of:
Orange County District, California Garden Clubs, Inc.
Pacific Region Garden Clubs, Inc.
National Garden Cubs, Inc.

We enjoy spending time together through our shared passion of gardening.  Our members work closely together and really step up to give each other a helping hand. In doing so we have many other common interests, we have also become great friends.

Our theme for 2023 -2024  "My Garde, My Happy Place"  Our President, Anne Breuer, believes that your garden is the one place that will put a smile on your face and make you happy.

During the year, we raise money to fund:

  • Scholarships for horticulture college students from our community;

  • Pollinator kits for elementary students to promote interest in nature

  • Guest speakers to help us cultivate our own skills and knowledge
