Meet in the parking lot closest to the building; bring your breakfast foods for after our walk. Nice seating area to right of building.

Waterwise Botanical Garden in Bonsall, CA (1 hr. 12 minutes driving)

Lunch places close by to choose from in Bonsall, within 10 miles. You can also bring a bag lunch as they have picnic tables in the garden area. Lunch options can be discussed with your carpool friends.

Tuesday, December 8, 2026, 10:00 a.m.

Mission San Juan Capistrano Tour - Seniors-$16, Adults-$19

Transportation: Please arrange carpools with friends in advance if you want to have lunch together at a restaurant of your choice after the tour.

Otherwise, meet at the clubhouse at 8:45 to carpool. (discuss lunch)

Lunch: It was not possible to make a large group reservation without reserving a banquet room (pricey), so lunch will be on your own. There are many restaurants to choose from for smaller parties, including the new River Street Market Place, or restaurants along Los Rios Street, Trevor at the Tracks, El Adobe, Heritage Barbeque and many more.

Walk around the Lake in Rancho Santa Margarita – lunch at Carmelita’s on the lake. Meet on the sidewalk below the restaurant.

When we see how many have signed up for this walk, I will make lunch reservations at Carmelita’s. This must be a confirmed sign up!

Friday, February 26, 2027   Meet at clubhouse to carpool-9:15

Take train or carpool to Hilbert Museum in Orange and lunch afterwards at the Streamliner Restaurant. Our 10:30 tour reservation is limited to 20, so sign up early!  A few of us took the train to the Hilbert, it was a lot of fun, and the station is right at the museum. If driving, there is a parking structure close to the museum, $7; the museum is free. The Streamliner Restaurant has very good food, right across the parking lot from the museum.

Thursday, March 25, 2027. The Bus is Back!

Bus Tour to Huntington Botanical Gardens (meet at clubhouse 8:00 sharp or earlier) Bus to board at 8:15 sharp! No tardiness, please! *To guarantee a seat on bus, you must pay $10 (non-refundable)*. Tour Coach cost, provided by LFGC! Garden Admission: Seniors-$24, Adults-$29. Check out the website, there are five restaurants to have lunch, one, the Tea Room, requires reservations.  The bus holds 45 passengers (club members only). ETA to home (clubhouse) 5:30, depending on traffic.
