Guest Speakers
Guest speakers are invited to monthly meetings to share their knowledge and love of gardening with us, and to inspire us with new information.

Field Trips and Tours

Throughout the year, we visit locations to inspire and refresh our spirits. Some destinations have been: Roger's  Gardens, Kimberly Crest, The Huntington Library and local nurseries and gardens.

Holiday Party
We host an annual Holiday Party in December (a members-only potluck luncheon).

English Tea
Each February, we host a members-only traditional Old World English Tea.

Annual Spring Garden Tour

Annually, several members share their beautiful gardens in the Spring (usually April) for our Annual Spring Garden Tour.

Annual Boutique

We work throughout the year propagating plants and creating and finding unique garden items for our Annual Spring Plant Sale and Boutique held in May on the Saturday of Mother's Day Weekend. The members spend a lot of time and energy on this event and it is a full and fun day for our members and community.

Philanthropy

  • Annually, we hold our Annual Spring Plant Sale & Garden Boutique. This is our primary fundraiser to benefit our local community with Horticultural College Scholarship Awards and as a community outreach through some philanthropic programs.

  • In partnership with the City of Lake Forest's "Expand the Forest" program, we help support adding trees in Lake Forest, CA.

  • In 2022-2023, we will be raising attention for the Reforestation of National Forests through the Penny Pines program. Donations in $68 increments help replant and maintain trees in 14 of California's National Forests devastated by wildfires.

  • HOSPICE ARRANGEMENTS: Our members work with Saddleback Hospice to deliver much-appreciated flowers (from local vendors and our gardens) to their patients each month.

  • We help beautify our local community and we educate others who have a mutual love of gardening.
