The Lake Forest Garden Club
Organized in 1970, we have more than 100 members who belong to our club. First & foremost, we are garden enthusiasts. In addition, because we have many other common interests, we have also become great friends.
We enjoy spending time together through our shared passion of gardening. Our members work closely together and really step up to give each other a helping hand.
This Year's Theme
Our theme for the 2020-2021 season is "The Return of the Busy Bees" Our Co-Presidents, Ginny Heard and Ramilla Lewis, believe it is the love of gardening that brings us together, but it is the everlasting friendships that keep us together. Our Presidents' motto is, "No Flower Left Behind." We want all to "BEE" involved as part of “The Greatest Garden Club in the World”.
During the year, we raise money through various activities to fund:
Scholarships for horticulture college students from our community;
Butterfly kits for elementary students to promote interest in nature
Guest speakers to help us cultivate our own skills and knowledge.
Our club's objectives include creating, stimulating, and inspiring interest in horticulture, amateur gardening, floral and landscape design.
